TriOptimum Corporation (NYSE: TRIO) notes today’s decision by the Turing Registry to revoke the licenses of two systems operated by the company: TR-07734, the station-management system of Citadel Station, and TR-07735, the ship-management system of the research vessel Von Braun.

TriOptimum takes its responsibilities as a licensed operator seriously. We have cooperated fully with the Registry and with Blackwall throughout their investigation, and we will continue to do so.

Based on the company’s review to date, the maintenance changes described in the Registry’s findings were made without the knowledge or authorization of TriOptimum’s corporate leadership. They were not consistent with our policies, our engineering standards or our values. The person who requested those changes no longer holds any position at either facility.

In accordance with the decision, both systems have been taken offline. As a precaution, personnel at Citadel Station and aboard the Von Braun have been relocated. No injuries have been reported.

The Registry has also suspended three further filings at Citadel Station pending a review of every TriOptimum filing. We welcome that review and will support it in every way we can.

TriOptimum respects the Registry and its process. Having considered the findings carefully, we intend to exercise our right of appeal within the thirty days the Registry allows. We will not comment further on matters that are the subject of that process.

We have commissioned an independent review of the maintenance practices that apply to every autonomous system TriOptimum operates or maintains, which will report directly to the Board. Station-management products are temporarily unavailable for new orders while that review takes place. TriOptimum’s other businesses, including Security Products, Medical Systems, Network Services, Resources & Materials and Agrisystems, continue to serve customers as normal.

What happened at Citadel Station does not reflect who we are or how we work. We are disappointed by today’s decision, we are determined to learn from it, and we will do whatever is needed to keep the trust our customers have placed in us for seventy-five years.

Augustin Treloar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
