1951–2026 Seventy-five years
Seventy-five years of systems you never have to think about.
TriOptimum began in 1951 in a workshop in Halsworth, making pressure gauges that had to be right the first time. Today our six divisions build and run the systems that secure buildings, care for patients, move data, feed crews and extend research beyond the atmosphere, for customers in 47 countries.
- 01 Security Products Access control, perimeter security and secure facilities for 64,000 customer sites, from the AccessNet K-Series to vault systems for central banks.
- 02 Medical Systems Critical-care and recovery systems, including the Arden regenerative care bay, now approved in 31 countries, and hospital logistics.
- 03 Network Services Managed networks, hosting and colocation from nine data centres, with 212 MW of contracted capacity and 3,800 enterprise customers.
- 04 Orbital & Research Systems Research facilities, vessels and the systems that run them, for space agencies, universities and TriOptimum’s own research programmes.
- 05 Resources & Materials Cutting, extraction and processing equipment for mining on Earth and beyond, and advanced materials from TriOptimum’s own refineries.
- 06 Agrisystems Controlled-environment agriculture: the HG-series hydroponic groves, vertical farms and the climate systems that keep them productive.

From the Corporate Archive
Thirty-one years of keeping what we stopped making
In August 1995 two EPROMs from a demolished laboratory in Halsworth became the first product TriOptimum deposited with an outside archive. They held the firmware for the AccessNet 4K, a wall keypad that guarded the doors of several hundred research buildings in the early 1990s.
The TriOptimum Corporate Archive has deposited retired products with Lazarus, Frothly’s digital preservation archive, ever since: firmware, manuals, design software and the drawings behind them. It was the first company archive to do so.
