Modern slavery statement 2025
This statement is made under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 and Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labor and Child Labor in Supply Chains Act, for the year ended 31 December 2025. It was approved by the Board on 25 June 2026.
Our business and supply chains
TriOptimum employs 118,400 people in 47 countries and buys from about 28,500 suppliers in 52 countries. The supply chains with the highest risk of forced labor are raw materials for Resources & Materials, electronic components, construction and facilities services at our sites, and seasonal labor at farms operated by Agrisystems.
What we did in 2025
- Screened every new supplier for forced-labor risk, and audited 437 suppliers in high-risk categories on site.
- Traced the origin of cobalt, tantalum, tin and tungsten in our electronics supply chain to the smelter in 96 percent of cases.
- Required labor agencies supplying our sites to pay recruitment fees themselves, and checked that they do.
- Trained 9,800 employees in procurement, human resources and site management.
What we found
Our audits identified 23 cases of recruitment fees charged to workers by agencies supplying two construction contractors and one farm in 2025. In each case the fees were repaid to the workers, and two agencies were removed from our supply chain.
Reporting concerns
Anyone can report a concern about forced labor in our business or supply chains through the Integrity Line, anonymously if they wish.
Signed on behalf of the Board by Augustin Treloar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
